Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born December 13, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for the past 20 years. Swift's stories of romance and love at first sight are gaining her acclaim in the 21st Century. Swift's love for music started at an early stage. From plays for children to appearing in front of crowds, Swift made rapid progress. In 2011, Swift then 11, sang The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball game. Following that, Swift began writing her own songs. Swift became inspired to create her own music by country music artists genre, such as Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. At the age of 13, Swift's parents decided to sell their farm in Pennsylvania and moved to Hendersonville Tennessee so she could devote more of her time in courting the country music labels in nearby Nashville.
